Colorado Logger serves everyone interested in harvesting Colorado timber- loggers, logwagon drivers, foresters, lumbermen, firewooders, landowners, concerned citizens & all woodsmen who take a dinner-pail into the woods 'cuz it's gonna be a long one.

Anyone associated with logging knows we're not from the "I'm not punched in yet" crowd.  If a job needs doing, we do it.  If it pays, cool.  If it doesn't, well at least we're up and goin' the next day.  So, if you have sawchips in your blood or sawdust up your nose, or if you've slept in the crummy (or if you even know what a crummy is), read on- you're gonna like it here.

On the other hand, if logging doesn't fit with your idea of how the world turns then you won't like Colorado Logger and it doesn't really bother us if you click right on by.  You see, Colorado Loggers are committed to healthy forests and healthy communities through safety and the wise-use utilization of  our forests.  Without that committment, we're out of work.  It is not in our best interest to treat the forests we harvest in a manner inconsistent with our wise-use philosophy.  Still, even though we are doing the right thing for the right reason, in the eyes of today's politically correct outlook, Colorado Logger will be out of place.  But, for those of us in the industry, it's more than what we do and it's more than how we pay the bills.  It's who we are; we do have sawchips in our blood, it's an addicting way of life and we live it everyday because we choose to.  We hunt, we fish, and frankly, we make stumps and we won't apologize for it.

We don't just think we're doing the right thing- we're convinced.

We provide Colorado loggers, lumbermen, & woodsmen with information on logging activities and the legislative / political arena concerning Colorado's forests.  We give our Colorado loggers, and everyone else who supports the wise-use utilization of our forests, a site where logging tools and machinery can be listed for sale or bought, as well as a place where loggers & woodsmen can find people who speak the loggers' lingo.  The kind of people you want to deal with- people like you and us, people interested in loggers' success.  Along the way, we're gonna have a little fun.

The emphasis of Colorado Logger is on helping Colorado Loggers log Colorado timber.  If you have read this far, this topic is certainly of interest to you and we hope you will find it useful.  Welcome aboard.

You can reach us at loco2@coloradologger.com If you have a public service announcement or you represent a town which has a "Logger Days" festival or similar event, we would be pleased to use Colorado Logger (at no charge, of course) for your service or as a gateway for your town to use to help make its event even more successful.  Just let us know.

If you are not familiar with Colorado Logger, have a look-see.  Stop back and visit often- we'll have new and interesting things regularly, along with links to websites that won't waste your time.  Our "News" page will be updated as we receive stories we believe are of interest to you.  Our other pages will be updated every other week or so to allow our loggers time to come off the hill and have time to catch up on what's happening.

If you have something you think is interesting or newsworthy for your fellow woodsman (or the general public, for that matter), we want to hear from you and perhaps we will include it on Colorado Logger.  Let us know what your needs, questions, and opinions are.  Our hope is you'll maybe learn something that will help you out- we know we will.

Finally, "Log on" has a new meaning for Colorado Loggers and woodsmen.  We hope you enjoy it.
